Selection Rationale
The shortlist selects 9 P0/P1 surfaces from the 44 strategic rows in ../strategic-surfaces.md. This stays within the Spec 325 maximum of 10 surfaces while covering the highest-value product narratives: workspace entry, environment posture, operations truth, governance decisions, customer-safe review, audit proof, restore safety, provider readiness, and drift/baseline decisions.
All 44 strategic rows are not covered because many rows are detail variants, CRUD-adjacent pages, repeated domain lists, system-plane surfaces, or pages that require a separate seeded fixture or pattern-library pass. Spec 325 is a target-image direction wave, not an all-surface redesign.
Premium Visual Reference Decision
The user accepted four premium visual references as final enough for the Tenantial target direction:

These references supersede the first generated Spec 325 PNGs as visual-quality calibration. The earlier generated images remain useful as IA/content scaffolds only. The accepted reference direction is dark, dense, calm, premium, enterprise-grade, sidebar/topbar anchored, and workbench-oriented.
Runtime implementation must not copy the reference images blindly. Concrete metrics, dates, entities, success states, dangerous-action affordances, and shown actions are conceptual until repo-verified.

Rejected Mockup Handling
No previous rejected Spec 325 SVG mockup artifacts were present in the working tree. docs/ui-ux-enterprise-audit/mockups/.DS_Store is an operating-system metadata file, not a mockup artifact. The rejected target-image folder still contains a README so future rejected explorations have a documented landing place.
Not Implementation Truth
The target images linked from this shortlist are visual direction artifacts only. Later implementation specs must verify route reality, data availability, authorization, workspace/environment isolation, OperationRun semantics, auditability, dangerous-action behavior, and customer-safe visibility before coding.
